PHM 1424 - Pharmacology I

(Prerequisites: First Semester Pharmacy Technology courses) A study of human disease processes and rational pharmacotherapeutics relating to fluids and nutrients in the following body systems: nervous, endocrine, skeletal, muscular, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and immune. Indications, contraindications, mechanism of action, side effects, dosages, and methods of administration including how these principles can be utilized in pharmacy practice. (4 hr lecture)
