NUR 1229 - Professional Nursing Concepts II

(Prerequisites: NUR 1119 , ENG 1113 , PSY 1513 ) (Pre/Corequisites: Humanities Elective, EPY 2533 , ENG 1123 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on fundamental nursing concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing alterations in health.  Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and are integrated throughout laboratory, simulation, clinical experiences, and professional development. (5 hrs lecture, 2 hrs lab, 9 hrs clinical)
