NUR 2214 - Transition to Professional Nursing Concepts I

(Prerequisites: NUR 2114 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on fundamental nursing concepts related to nursing practice and nursing as a profession with an emphasis on role transition.  Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and are integrated throughout laboratory, simulation, clinical experiences, and professional development. (8 week course: 6 hrs lecture, 2.5 hrs lab, 2.25 hrs clinical)
