NUR 2234 - Transition to Professional Nursing Concepts III

(Prerequisites: NUR 2224 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on previous concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing alterations in health.  Emphasis is placed on role transition.  Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and are integrated throughout simulation, laboratory/clinical experiences, and professional development. (8 week course: 6 hrs lecture, 6 hrs clinical)
