PTA 1151 - Health Care Experience II

(Prerequisites: PTA 1111 , PTA 1123 , PTA 1213 , PTA 1224 , PTA 1314 , PTA 2234 ) (Corequisites: PTA 2334 , PTA 2413 , PTA 2513 ) This course is designed to provide the student with a knowledge of general and specialized topics applicable to the practice of physical therapy.  Topics covered will include cultural diversity, discharge planning, ethics and legalities of practice, an in-depth look at the MS PT Practice Act in regards to PTA practice, aquatics, pediatrics, orthotics-prosthetics, and manual therapy.  Extended practice in electronic and written documentation will also be emphasized. (1 hr lecture)
