(Prerequisites: BIO 2521/BIO 2523, HIT 1114 rev., HIT 1213, HIT 1323 rev., & CSC 1123) This course covers structural and functional changes caused by disease in tissues and organs, clinical manifestations, and principles of treatment with emphasis on general concepts and diseases affecting the body as a whole. In addition, common medications used to treat disease processes will be addressed. (3 hr lecture)
