(Prerequisites: One unit of high school chemistry and MAT 1233 or MAT 1234 or credit in CHE 1313; REA 0133, ENG 0123) (Corequisites: CHE 1211) A lecture course that covers the fundamental principles of chemistry and their application. Chemical nomenclature, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, atomic structure, bonding theories, energy, periodic properties, and gas laws are among the topics discussed in depth. (3 hr lecture)
