(Prerequisites: ENG 0113 or ENG 0124 or higher, MAT 0123 /MAT 0124 or MAT 1133 or higher; REA 0123 or REA 1213) A lecture course covering the nutrients for normal growth and reducing the risks of major chronic diseases, and applied to the selection of food for ingestion, the process of digestion, assimilation, absorption, metabolism, and the applications for health care providers.
