NUR 2139 - Professional Nursing Concepts III

(Prerequisites: NUR 1229 , Fine Arts/Humanities Elective, PSY 2533 , ENG 1123 ) (Pre/Corequisites: BIO 2921 , BIO 2923 , with a grade of “C” or above in each course) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on previous concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing alterations in health.  Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and are integrated throughout simulation, laboratory/clinical experiences, and professional development. (5 hr lecture, 1.5 hr lab, 9.75 hr clinical)
