PNV 1312 - Intermediate Practical Nursing S.S.

(Prerequisites: PNV 1115) This course will provide the student with the basic knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective care for clients and families during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and infancy through adolescent periods. Also provide students basic knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective care for clients and families experiencing mental health alterations. In addition, the students will gain an understanding of the expanded role of IV therapy as outlined by the Mississippi Board of Nursing Practice Law, Rules, and Regulations and the advanced theory of pharmacology. (10.3 hr lecture, 2 hr lab, 2 hr clinical)
