NUR 2228 - Transition to Professional Nursing Concepts I & II

(Prerequisites: NUR 2114 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on fundamental nursing concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing alterations in health. Emphasis is placed on role transition. Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and are integrated throughout simulation, laboratory/clinical experiences, and professional development. (6 hr lecture, 1.25 hr lab, 4.125 hr clinical)
