FCS 1253 - Nutrition

(Prerequisites: ENG 0124  or higher; MAT 1133 /MAT 1134  or higher; REA 1213 ) A lecture course covering the nutrients for normal growth and reducing the risks of major chronic diseases, and applied to the selection of food for ingestion, the process of digestion, assimilation, absorption, metabolism, and the applications for health care providers. (3 hr lecture)
