DMS 1323 - Physics and Instrumentation II

(Prerequisites: DMS 1313 ) (Pre/Corequisites: DMS 1426 , DMS 1524 , DMS 1533 ) A continuation of Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation I (DMS 1313 ). This class includes an in-depth presentation of image display modes, Doppler, color, and hemodynamics of diagnostic ultrasound. The causes of artifacts, how to scan safely, conduct instrument performance measurements, ergonomics, emerging technologies, and preparation for registry examinations are presented. (2 hr lecture, 2 hr lab)
