NUR 2316 - Advanced Nursing Concepts 6 SH (Prerequisites: NUR 2215 ) (Corequisites: NUR 2243 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on previous concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing complex alterations in health. Emphasis is placed on the role transition. Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and the transition to practice and are integrated throughout simulation, laboratory/ clinical experiences, and professional development. (4 hr lecture, 0.4 hr lab, 6 hr clinical)
