Program Description:
This program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of technical positions within the Telecommunications industry. Specific preparation is in modes, techniques, mediums of voice, and data transmissions and reception. Emphasis is on the telephone instrument, key systems, PBX systems, analog and digital voice communications, data communications, fiber-optic communications, and satellite and microwave communications. Graduates will be qualified to help select, install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications systems. An Associate of Applied Science Degree is awarded upon successful completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours of approved coursework.
