Program Description:


The Small Engine and Equipment Service Program is designed as a program of study to prepare individuals for entry level employment in Equipment Management (mechanics) for the Landscape and Golf Industries. This program will include studies in equipment service, repair, maintenance and operation, engine troubleshooting and repair, shop management, etc.  Courses in the program have been correlated to standards for turf equipment programs as published by the Equipment and Engine Training Council, a nationally recognized association for the outdoor power equipment industry.

**Additional Graduation Requirements: Any student (first-time, transfer, and part-time) who begins at Hinds Fall 2007 and later will be required to take LLS 1312 /RST 1312 /RSV 1312 - Orientation  course in order to graduate from the College. Exception: Orientation credit (1-3 hrs) transferred to Hinds from another college will satisfy our orientation requirement.

A CPAS exam is required to graduate from this program.
