NUR 2249 - Professional Nursing Concepts IV

(Prerequisites: NUR 2139 , BIO 2921 , BIO 2923  with a grade of “C” or above in each course) (Corequisites: NUR 2243 ) (Pre/Corequisites: SPT 1113 / ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is to build on previous concepts and introduce new nursing concepts related to the management of care of clients experiencing complex alterations in health.  Nursing core competencies are used to identify expectations of the professional nurse and the transition to practice and are integrated throughout simulation, laboratory/clinical experiences, and professional development. (4 hr lecture, .4 hr lab, 14.4 hr clinical)
