HIT 2253 - Pathopharmacology I

(Prerequisites: BIO 2511 /BIO 2513  or BIO 2514 , BIO 2521 /BIO 2523  or BIO 2524 ) (Pre/Corequisites: Admission to the Health Information Technology program) This course covers structural and functional changes caused by disease in tissues and organs, clinical manifestations, and principles of treatment with emphasis on general concepts and diseases affecting the body as a whole.  In addition, common medications used to treat disease processes will be addressed. (3 hr lecture)
