(Prerequisites: ENG 1123 ) World Literature I surveys the literary, cultural, philosophical, religious, social and economic dimensions of the Ancient, Grecian, Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance periods through a chronological study of the major authors and their writings. (3 hr lecture)
