NUR 1229 - Nursing Science II

(Prerequisites: NUR 1119 , NUR 1140 , ENG 1113 , PSY 1513  (Corequisites: NUR 1220 ) (Pre/Corequisites: Humanities Elective, EPY 2533 , ENG 1123 ) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is on pharmacotherapeutics, therapeutic communication, community resources, and basic care of clients undergoing operative procedures and treatment modalities related to cancer, and management of care of clients experiencing alterations in functional health patterns as a result of cardiac, circulatory and respiratory disorders. (5 hrs lecture, 3 hrs lab, 9 hrs clinical)
