EMT 1122 - Fundamentals of Pre-hospital Care

(Prerequisites: Admission to the EMT-Paramedic Program) (Pre/Corequisites: EMT 1315  and EMT 1415 ) This course introduces the student to the EMS systems, roles and responsibilities of the paramedic, well-being of the paramedic, illness and injury prevention, medical/legal issues, ethical issues, therapeutic communications, and life span development. (1 hr lecture, 2 hr lab)
