SUT 1413 - Surgical Microbiology

(Prerequisites: BIO 2511 ; BIO 2513 ; BIO 2521 ; BIO 2523 ; ENG 1113 ; MAT 1233  or MAT 1134  or MAT 1133 ; and Humanities Elective 3 SH) (Corequisites: SUT 1113 , SUT 1217 , SUT 1313 ) (Pre/Corequisites: Social/Behavioral Science Elective 3 SH) This is an introduction to pathogenic microorganisms related to surgery and their effect on wound management and infection. It includes principles of sterilization and disinfection.  (3 hr lecture)
