Program Description:
The Aviation Technology program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of entry level positions in the aviation industry. Students may focus on one of three areas within the Aviation Technology Degree program: Air Traffic Control, Airport Operations, or Aviation Security. Private and public sector positions available within these areas include air traffic controller, airport management and operations specialist, airport communications specialist, aviation security specialist, and aircraft dispatch specialists. - “Negative” results of a 5-panel drug screen
**Completion Award: Career Certificate in Aviation Technology 30 SH

**Completion Award: Technical Certificate in Aviation Technology 45 SH
Associate of Applied Science
**Completion Award: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Aviation Technology 60-61 SH
**Additional Graduation Requirement: Any student (first-time, transfer, and part-time) who begins at Hinds Fall 2007 and later will be required to take LLS 1312 /RST 1312 Orientation course in order to graduate from the College. Exception: Orientation credit (1-3 hrs) transferred to Hinds from another college will satisfy our orientation requirement. *Students may select Aviation Technology courses from any focus area. ***Students must select electives from one of four areas of focus.
