(Prerequisites: One unit of high school chemistry and MAT 1133 or MAT 1134 or higher OR credit in CHE 1313; REA 1213; ENG 0124 or higher) (Corequisites: CHE 1211) A lecture course that covers the fundamental principles of chemistry and their application. Chemical nomenclature, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, atomic structure, bonding theories, energy, periodic properties, and gas laws are among the topics discussed in depth. (3 hr lecture)
