HIT 2914 - Health IT Systems

(Prerequisites: HIT 1114, HIT 1213, HIT 1323, HIT 2253 ,CSC 1123) This course is an overview of computer use in health-care facilities with an emphasis on applications for health information systems, including the electronic health record. This course covers aspects of electronic health records (EHR) in the health-care environment. In addition, it explores implementation of EHR in various health-care settings. (3 hr lecture, 2 hr lab)
